Release Notes

Talkdesk Agent Workspace: Conversations (Voice Channel)

  • Consult option during a conference call: Agents can now also start a new private consultation from within an active conference call without disrupting the other participants. This makes it easier to bring in additional help mid-conversation.

Talkdesk Copilot

  • Real-time transcription on a clinical speech model: Real-time transcription can now run on a clinical speech model, accurately capturing medication names, dosages, and clinical terms. This gives healthcare and life-sciences teams more reliable transcripts for patient access, triage, and pharmacy interactions.
  • Copilot Redaction Model: Sensitive values and information can be redacted via real-time transcription, such as card numbers, government IDs, and credentials as a transcript is produced. Regulated organizations can adopt real-time transcription while limiting the sensitive data they capture and retain.

Talkdesk Digital Engagement

Conversation Tags: Conversations can now be tagged with operational context, such as escalation status, priority, or issue type, and tags persist across transfers. This gives agents and supervisors a faster way to triage, hand off, and locate conversations that need attention.

Talkdesk Explore

  • Custom Measure and Custom Dimension: Two new field types let customers build their own calculations directly in Explore, including true aggregations like distinct counts. This gives teams full control to create the exact metric they need without waiting on new reporting features.
  • Ring Group(s) renamed to Queue(s): This release has been rescheduled from September 16 to September 23. "Ring Group(s)" is being renamed to "Queue(s)" across Explore's UI (default reports, dashboards, and datasets) and the Explore API. This aligns reporting terminology with the rest of the platform following the Ring Groups API deprecation.

Talkdesk Knowledge Management

Image Extraction: Images embedded in synced knowledge content are now extracted and shown alongside the text agents can see in Copilot. This keeps diagrams, screenshots, and product photos part of the knowledge experience instead of being stripped out.

Talkdesk Navigator

Barge-in: Callers can now interrupt Navigator's audio and start speaking right away instead of waiting for the message to finish. This creates a more natural, conversational self-service experience.

Talkdesk Performance Management

Coaching Meeting Finder Integration: Coaching sessions can now be scheduled directly within existing workflows, with smart time suggestions and meeting links included automatically. This removes the need to switch tools to find time and set up coaching.

Talkdesk Studio

Post-Call Actions & Routing for Transferred Calls: The Assignment and Dial component now includes a dedicated exit and context variables for calls that end in a transfer. This gives admins more control over what happens after an interaction is transferred to another queue, agent, or number.

[Preview] Talkdesk Voice Platform

Talkdesk SIP Interconnect: This new feature lets admins connect existing telephony infrastructure to Talkdesk through configurable SIP trunks, including a dedicated Microsoft Teams Direct Routing trunk. This gives enterprises a self-service way to bridge their current telephony investment with Talkdesk's routing and dial plans.

Talkdesk Workspace Desktop App

Electron Update: The Desktop App has been updated to Electron v42.11.1. This keeps the app aligned with the latest underlying security and performance improvements.
