April 20, 2026 

On Monday, April 20th, 2026, we will begin a progressive rollout of a new workspace enhancement for Talkdesk:

New:

  • Resizable Secondary Area: Users can now manually adjust the size of the secondary workspace area, allowing it to grow up to 50% of the total screen size by dragging the secondary area edge to their preferred width. This feature is designed to provide better visibility for tools like Copilot, reducing the need for excessive scrolling and helping agents digest complex information more efficiently. The workspace caches the secondary area size, allowing you to save your preferred layout and restore it automatically in future sessions. This update impacts all users, including those on the Desktop App.

What do I need to do? Your workspace will automatically receive these resizing capabilities as the rollout progresses, starting April 20th, with immediate effect (no enablement required).

August 19, 2025 

On Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, we will remove link access to the Talkdesk Classic.

Removal:

As previously announced, as a final stage of the migration from Talkdesk Classic to Talkdesk Workspace™, Talkdesk is disabling user access to the Talkdesk Classic pages. This change will not impact user experience as all features previously available in Talkdesk Classic are already available in Talkdesk Workspace.

April 14, 2025

On Monday, April 14th, 2025, Talkdesk will introduce the Workspace Operator to provide a centralized search, navigation, and experience. 

New:

  • Workspace Operator: Enables users to quickly locate and open apps, search contacts, and perform key actions from a single, intuitive interface. From a single location, customers can:
    • Search and navigate to an app
    • Execute a key action, including: 
      • Creating new users
      • Placing a call
      • Search for a contact
    • Navigate across Workspace without losing context, reducing time spent searching between critical tools.

April 1, 2024

On Monday, April 1st, 2024, we will roll out a new feature for Talkdesk Workspace users:

New:

  • Preferred language selection: Workspace users can now choose their preferred language, one of eight in total [English (US), French (CA), French (FR), German, Italian, Portuguese (PT), Portuguese (BR)]. Account Admins will be able to set a default language at the account level and any user will be able to override this setting to select their preferred language.

How to Access

From October 16th to November 20th, 2023, access to Talkdesk CX Cloud via the Microsoft Edge browser will be progressively rolled out to all accounts.

Upon launching Microsoft Edge for the first time, users will be prompted to grant permission for the Microphone, Notifications, Pop-ups, and redirects. Learn more here.
