Workspace Operator

Talkdesk's Workspace Operator provides a centralized search and action execution experience within Talkdesk Workspace. It is designed to enable users to quickly locate apps, access contacts, and perform key actions, all from a single, intuitive interface. By reducing reliance on multiple navigation paths and touchpoints, Workspace Operator enhances usability and enables faster workflows.

Customers can find the Workspace Operator in the top-left corner of Workspace, with the magnifying glass tilted left icon.

 

Key Capabilities

Workspace Operator empowers users to:

  • Quickly find and open apps by searching for the app’s name.
  • Find and open a Talkdesk knowledge base article by searching for keywords
  • Execute key actions directly from the search option, including:


    • Create a new user <first name> <last name> <email>: Opens the Users App and pre-fills the new user form with the provided details.
    • Call <phone number>: Places a call directly from within the search bar.
    • Search contacts <name>: Looks up contacts by name and surfaces matching results.
    • Search Talkdesk Copilot <keywords>: Places a query directly in Talkdesk Copilot.
    • Search Talkdesk Knowledge Base <keywords>: Places a query directly in Talkdesk Knowledge Base.

  • Navigate across Workspace without losing context, reducing time spent searching between critical tools.

Note: More actions will be added to the Workspace Operator in the future.

 

How to Use Workspace Operator

Go to the top-left corner of Workspace and select the magnifying glass tilted left icon.

  1. Search for an app: Type an app name to open it directly. Any available action related to that app will appear in the results.
  2. Search for a Talkdesk Knowledge Base article: Type keywords and open Smart Help to review the articles that match your search
  3. Execute a key action: Type keywords like “Create”, “Call” or “Contact search”, followed by the necessary parameters.
  4. Select and execute: Use the arrow keys or your mouse to select a result and press "Enter" to initiate the corresponding action. Navigate through the available options using the arrow keys.
  5. Close the search: Press the "Esc" key on your keyboard or click outside the search box to exit.

By centralizing navigation and action execution, Workspace Operator enhances productivity, minimizes workflow disruptions, and ensures quick access to critical tools and actions.
