What is changing and why
The “Favorites” contacts currently within Admin-> Preferences -> Agent Workflow -> External Favorites are being migrated to Talkdesk Contacts™ to enhance performance and scalability. All data will be automatically migrated.
In addition, new permissions will become available in Roles & Permissions to provide more administrative flexibility. These will be enabled by default for the "System Administrator" role.
Action required
No action is required for the data migration. However, Admins should review and adjust the new permission settings for custom roles, if necessary.
Time and Duration
- February 26, 2026: Migration of the Favorites contacts will start. It will be a progressive rollout occurring over a one-week period.
