What is changing and why
In September 2025, Salesforce rolled out a platform-wide security update, as stated by them to strengthen its “secure-by-default” approach and give administrators more control over connected apps. This update affects how apps like Talkdesk for Salesforce and Salesforce Voice are authorized and accessed by users.
We are notifying you so that administrators can take action to ensure new Salesforce users can continue accessing Talkdesk without disruption.
Impact
- What is happening? Newly created Salesforce users may be blocked from logging into Talkdesk via SSO unless the Talkdesk for Salesforce - Talkdesk ID SSO - connected app is installed or updated with the proper permissions.
- Who is impacted? New users of all All customers using Talkdesk for Salesforce and Salesforce Voice SSO with Talkdesk.
Action required
Salesforce administrators should review their connected app settings and ensure Talkdesk for Salesforce is authorized for all intended users. Follow the steps on the SFDC Notice on resources. If new users report login errors, administrators may need to install the connected app and update permissions following Salesforce’s guidance.
