Timestamp Formats

With the latest format update on Start and End Timestamps in Agent Status Report, it’s possible that your machine won’t interpret the format of the timestamp as yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss (see what we did there? We’ve added seconds to the timestamp, so you have the same information you used to have in this report). Or maybe you’ve already noticed that sometimes the dates behave somewhat unexpectedly when you open a CSV. In case this happens and depending on the operating system you’re using, you might want to adjust it to reflect the new database format.

So here’s a step by step guide on how to configure this for the two main operating systems, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS:

Windows 10

  1. Click Start and then go into the “Control Panel”.
  2. Click Change Date, Time, or Number Formats. The “Region” dialog box appears.
  3. On the “Formats” tab select the format you want to change from the drop-down list and then click Additional Settings. The “Customize Format” dialog box appears.
  4. Click the tab that contains the settings that you want to modify, and make your changes. For example, to change part or all of a number format, click the “Numbers” tab and change it to the setting you want.

Windows 7

  1. Click Start and then go into the “Control Panel”.
  2. Click Clock, Language, and Region and then click Regional and Language Options. The “Regional and Language Options” dialog box appears.
  3. On the “Formats” tab, under “Current Format”, click on Customize this Format. The “Customize Regional Options” dialog box appears.
  4. Click the tab that contains the settings that you want to modify, and make your changes. For example, to change part or all of a number format, click the ”Numbers” tab and change it to the setting that you want.

Mac OS

  1. Click the Apple icon and go into “System Preferences”.
  2. Click the "Language & Region" icon (it looks like a flag) and then click Advanced.
  3. Along the top of the window, click Dates. Type in, or click and drag elements to format your "Short" date. You can add elements to the date by dragging them from the legend and putting them into the format bar.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the red "X" button and your date format changes are successfully made.
