What is changing and why

Talkdesk has been transitioning to a new, more advanced Session Border Controllers (SBCs) infrastructure offering improved scalability and resilience, ensuring a more reliable service. This migration is nearing completion, and to finalize it, customers with SIP devices must reconfigure them to connect to the updated SBCs.

Action required from customers

  • Customers must reconfigure their SIP devices by following the instructions in this Talkdesk Support article
  • Customers can choose to update all devices at once or gradually, with no impact on functionality during the transition.
  • Failure to reconfigure devices before December 11, 2024, will render devices inoperable.

Important date

  • December 11, 2024: migration to the new SBC infrastructure will be complete. Failure to reconfigure devices by the end of the allotted time will render devices inoperable. Once the update is completed, there will be no change in how the devices function.
