You can specify which of your company’s or partners’ IP addresses are allowed to interact with your Talkdesk account, enabling you to limit the network and providing an additional level of control and security.
This impacts users who can connect to Talkdesk. If the user is not on the allowed list, they will not be able to use Talkdesk. If your employees are working remotely, we would recommend using a VPN before accessing Talkdesk and having the VPN address added to the allowed list.
If you wish to apply this restriction, please send your IP addresses or ranges to Talkdesk Support (maximum of 100 entries). We currently support IPv4 and IPv6 for individual IP addresses and CIDR notation to specify a network block, so make sure that the entries follow this format:
- IPv4 (100.10.148.103)
- IPv6 (0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:ffff:640a:9467)
- CIDR Notation (10.0.0.0/24)
Once configured, any request from an IP address not included in the list that tries to access Talkdesk APIs, will not be able to access the API. If employees are working remotely, they will need to use a VPN before accessing Talkdesk.
Notes:
- Systems that integrate with Talkdesk must also be included in the allowlist (SSO providers are excluded from this restriction, except for Developer Portals (e.g. Salesforce)).
- For the login allowlist, please refer to Restricting User Logins to Defined IP Ranges.
