[Preview] Talkdesk Trusted Calling: How to Use

Important Note: This feature is available in Preview for selected accounts in the United States.

Talkdesk Trusted Calling verifies manual outbound calls through a third-party authentication provider before they are connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). This helps prevent calls from being flagged as spam or fraud and can display the business name or purpose of the call on the recipient’s device, increasing the likelihood that the call will be answered.

Admins can connect a call authentication provider and choose which numbers use the service in a few steps:

  1. Go to Admin [1] > Trusted Calling [2]. The Trusted Calling page shows the provider selected for call authentication. If no provider is configured yet, you'll see a Connect Provider button [3].

  1. Select a provider. Click Connect Provider to open a dropdown [4] with three options: First Orion, TNS, or TransUnion. An existing account with the selected provider is required before proceeding.
  2. Enter the provider credentials. The fields shown depend on the provider selected:
  • First Orion requires an API Key and a Secret Key.

  • TNS does not require credentials.

  • TransUnion requires an API Key.

4.  Click Next once the credentials are entered.

  1. Switch or update the provider. Changing providers later is done by returning to Admin [5] > Trusted Calling [6] and clicking the Edit button [7]

  1. Then select a new provider. Only one provider can be active per account at a time. Setting up a new one replaces the previous configuration.

Note: This feature applies to manual outbound calls only. For more information, please contact your Talkdesk representative.
