This rollout provides organizations with a centralized area to manage global telephony settings with precision, ensuring every call routes efficiently, securely, and predictably.

This preview release includes a set of self-service tools to define organizational sites, call restrictions,  manage advanced dial plans, and register Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) devices in real-time.

New:

  • Global Site Management: Organize users according to their geographical location and assign location-specific telephony properties, such as time zones, emergency addresses, site prefixes, and location-specific dialing rules.
  • Call Restrictions: Control costs and security by enabling or disabling specific call types, including International, Premium, Long Distance, Inter-site, or to specific numbers or patterns, at the site or user level.
  • Extension Dialing: Support for internal inter-site and intra-site dialing to connect users directly across a global organization.
  • SIP Devices: Register hardware directly to Talkdesk as standalone devices for shared, Common Area spaces, or use "Companion Mode" to pair hardware media with the Talkdesk interface.
  • Flexible Dial Plans: Custom dial plans to define and enable organizationally specific dialing behaviors. This includes features such as access codes, short codes, number manipulations, and number transformations.
