On Thursday, February 11, 2026, we released the Talkdesk Higher Education Experience Cloud™ in Preview mode.

Talkdesk Higher Education Experience Cloud is a solution built for higher education that helps colleges and universities deliver AI-powered, digital-first service experiences across the student lifecycle — from admissions to enrollment, academic support, and alumni engagement. 

Built on the Talkdesk Industry Experience Cloud platform, this initial release focuses on out-of-the-box self-service automations powered by Talkdesk Autopilot (AI Agents), enabling institutions to handle high-volume inquiries efficiently. All of this while maintaining compliance with higher education requirements such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

What’s Included

This release includes pre-configured conversational flows (autopilot templates), proactive notifications, and a flexible data model that is integration-ready for use with Student Information Systems, CRMs, and Learning Management Systems. 

End users can access the solution using self-service through Talkdesk Autopilot across digital and voice channels and/or by engaging with a live Talkdesk agent, receiving a concierge-type experience. 

The main features include:

  • Higher Education AI Agent Templates: Pre-built Autopilot templates tailored for higher education use cases, including financial aid status, admissions acceptance, class registration updates, appointment scheduling, billing inquiries, and general student services. These templates are designed to save time and have minimal configuration needs.
  • Student Lifecycle–Aware Self-Service: AI-driven conversations that adapt to a student’s context (e.g., prospective, admitted, enrolled) and route or respond accordingly. This enables more relevant, consistent interactions across admissions, registration, and student support.
  • Proactive Notifications: Out-of-the-box support for proactive SMS, email, and voice notifications tied to academic events such as financial aid updates, acceptance confirmations, upcoming deadlines, and appointment reminders.
  • Integration-ready Data Model: Available for integration with Student Information Systems, CRMs, and Learning Management Systems, to provide a contextual and securely authenticated user-specific experience.
