On Thursday, September 25th, 2025, we are releasing the following features for Microsoft Teams:
Talkdesk Embedded provides a truly unified, “single pane of glass” interface for our customers. By embedding Talkdesk inside MS Teams, customers can maximize their Teams investment. This new embedded experience offers skills-based routing, real-time AI assistance, unified omnichannel experiences, and deep analytics accessible from within Teams.
What’s included:
- Conversations App: Front-office agents will be able to leverage the “Conversations” app to initiate outbound voice calls or receive inbound calls, along with accessing full call controls such as Consult, Blind Transfer, and after-call notes – all from within the Microsoft Teams user client. Furthermore, the “Conversations” app supports other digital channels, including SMS, Email etc.
- Teams Directory Integration: Import and sync your Microsoft Teams users into Contacts under “Colleagues”, allowing your Agents to search, find, and click-to-call SMEs who are on Teams from within Talkdesk CX Cloud™.
- Presence synchronization: With this feature, administrators can manually enable or disable presence synchronization for users who are configured as Talkdesk Agents and have a corresponding Microsoft Teams account. Administrators can decide whether presence synchronization is unidirectional or bidirectional and define custom presence status mapping rules. Additionally, administrators can enable or disable presence synchronization at a user level.
- Customers can also benefit from other Talkdesk capabilities such as Talkdesk Office or Copilot from within MS Teams user client.
- Talkdesk Embedded in Microsoft Teams is available in both Teams web browser and Teams desktop client.
Note: Talkdesk Embedded in Microsoft Teams, formerly known as Talkdesk Microsoft Teams Connector™, has been renamed to align with the standard Talkdesk naming convention for integrations.
