Workato integration Activation

To activate your Workato integration in Talkdesk Classic, please follow these steps:

Note: If you are in Talkdesk Workspace, you can access the integration and all features described below by navigating to the Talkdesk Builder app. For more information, please refer to this article.

  1. Log in to your Talkdesk account and go to the Admin section [1]. Select the Integrations tab [2].
  2.  Click Add Integration[3].


  1. In the “Custom Integration” area, click Add Integration [4].


  1. Fill in the fields below: 
    • “Basic information”:
      • Provide a “Name” [1] for your integration: “Workato”.
      • Enter a “Description” [2] for the integration.
    • “Point of origin and authentication”:
      • Type in the “Base Path” [3]:
      • Choose an “Authentication Type” [4]. For this integration, select No Authentication
  1. Click Save in the top-right corner of the screen to finish.

After the integration is set, you will need to configure a new OAuth client in your Talkdesk account using these scopes: contacts:read callback:write users:read scim.

 Follow these steps after you log in to your account:


  1. Click Create project [1].


  1. Name and describe your project (in this example we named the project Talkdesk). Click Create project [2].


  1. Select Community library [3].


  1. In the Custom connector tab [4], search for Talkdesk and click on the connector.

  1. Click Install [5]. 


  1. After the connector is installed and released into your account, go back to the project you created. Click the Create [6] dropdown followed by Connections [7].


  1. In Projects>New connection, search for and open Talkdesk.

  1. Fill in the information that you can gather from OAuth Configuration: Client ID, Client secret, account name, location (this you can leave as “Talkdesk”.) Give your connection a name.


After this, your connector configuration is complete, and you can start configuring the actions that will be triggered by Talkdesk For more information on triggers, please consult this article.
