SAML SSO

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is a standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between security domains.

This XML-based protocol uses security tokens to pass end-user information between an Identity Provider (your company’s SAML Single-Sign-On solution of choice, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Identity, etc.) and Talkdesk (the Service Provider).

Admins can enable SAML SSO by selecting Admin > Security Settings > Single sign-on tab, and SAML as the account’s default Single Sign-on provider.

Configuring SAML SSO requires some technical know-how, so we suggest consulting your IT department to help with the setup.

Configuring SAML SSO

First, you’ll need to acquire a metadata URL from your SAML provider. Then, paste it in the Enter your SAML Metadata URL field and click Get Certificates to retrieve and store all certificates available from that metadata URL.

Talkdesk stores all certificates returned by the metadata URL. Each certificate is displayed as a separate Certificate details entry, showing its Fingerprint and Expiry date.

Note: The certificates shown above were retrieved from a single SAML metadata URL.
