Product Notice: Possible Audio Impact in Live Monitoring and Screen Recording from Google Chrome v136 update [Effective Apr 29, 2025]

Summary: Following the recent Google Chrome v136 update on April 29, 2025, Talkdesk has become aware of an issue which may impact agents on Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices who are using a subset of Talkdesk services, specifically:

  • Live Monitoring
  • Screen Recording

Changes made in Chrome version 136.0.7103.49 may result in a media function built into the browser failing or inducing delays to applications using this audio function.

Impacted customers:

  • Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices;
  • Devices recently updated to version 136.0.7103.49;
  • Users of Talkdesk Live Monitoring or Screen Recording applications.

Status: Google is aware of the issue and have rolled out a revised version of Chrome which has resolved the audio problem.

Recommended Action for Impacted Customers: The latest released version 136.0.7103.93 of Chrome resolves this issue. If members of your team are experiencing audio issues within the Live Monitoring or Screen Recording applications, an upgrade to Chrome version 136.0.7103.93 should be executed.

Users have two ways to upgrade to the latest version:

    1. Download from https://www.google.com/chrome and install.
    2. Open your Chrome Browser > Settings > About Chrome. An update to the latest version will occur automatically.
