Implementing QoS on Cisco Meraki

If you are using a Cisco Meraki firewall to handle Talkdesk traffic, you should make sure that your traffic shaping rules are appropriately set to prioritize the voice, over the remainder of the network traffic.

 

When using Talkdesk, there are three main things you need to prioritize in order to have the best possible call experience

Media

This can be done by applying rules that match our media IP addresses.


You should add the ranges for at least the two closest nodes to you for as we might use more than one for load balancing purposes.

Signaling

The signaling is done via WebSocket transporting SIP events. This can optionally be prioritized by using an expression that matches the domain: chunderw-vpc-gll.twilio.com
