Product Notice: Talkdesk Office Seats Allocation Needed [Effective starting Aug 7, 2024]

Talkdesk is committed to providing customers with the ability to autonomously manage and monitor licenses. Through Admin > Subscription > Manage Seats, both talkdesk CX Cloud Edition and add-on licenses can be assigned to specific users, providing greater control and flexibility.

Key benefits of Manage Seats:

  • Enhanced Control: Easily manage which users are entitled to which add-ons.
  • Flexibility: Assign and unassign users as needed based on the number of available licenses.
  • Utilization Tracking: Gain clear insights to ensure all purchased licenses are being used as desired levels.

Now, Manage Seats will be enabled for accounts that have purchased Talkdesk Office licenses. All active users will initially be assigned a Talkdesk CX Cloud Edition seat, and customers are expected to move their Office users to a Talkdesk Office seat. This will ensure that each user has access to the desired technical functionality. 

Customers must review and confirm their seat allocations for Talkdesk CX Cloud Edition and Talkdesk Office before November 4, 2024.

Action Required

To ensure accurate management and tracking of your seats, please review your current allocation of Talkdesk Edition seats and Talkdesk Office seats by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Subscription tab and select the Manage Seats button next to your Talkdesk Office’ license.
  2. Manage Seats will open on the side panel. Select the users to be assigned a Talkdesk Office license, then select Save
  3. Once complete, go to Manage Seats on Talkdesk CX Cloud Edition and unselect the users that should not have this license type.

Important: If no action is taken by November 4, 2024, all users will be assumed as CX Cloud Edition seats. As a result, Admins might exceed the number of allowed CX Cloud Edition licenses and will be prompted with a warning message to purchase additional seats.

Timeline:

  • August 7, 2024: Manage Seats functionality becomes available for customers with Talkdesk Office licenses. 
  • By November 4, 2024: customers must review and confirm their Talkdesk Office seat allocation via Admin > Subscription. After this date, if no action is taken, all users will be assumed as CX Cloud Edition seats.
