Account administrators can decide whether or not they would like Desktop Notifications to be activated for an account. Desktop Notifications allows agents to see a pop-up notification as the phone rings, even when their browser is minimized.
In case Desktop Notifications has been enabled for your account, the first time you log in to Talkdesk main web application, in the browser, you will see a message at the top of the window saying “accountname.mytalkdesk.com wants to show notifications”.
If you want to to receive our Call Desktop Notifications, click 'Allow' [1] and 'Configure' [2].
Once you do this, you will see a pop-up in the top-right corner of your screen saying “Desktop notifications activated”.
Success! Now, when a call is coming in, in addition to hearing the phone ring, you will also see a pop-up notification letting you know that you have an incoming call.
