This is a reminder of the Announcement, originally published on March 3, 2023.
Additional Update: You will continue to be able to change the “Login on Talkdesk Workspace” setting, found in the Admin > Preferences page until September 14, 2023. This information was updated in the original Announcement as well.
Beginning at the end of March 2023, we will be progressively enabling the “Login on Talkdesk Workspace” setting for all customer accounts. This change is a step toward the eventual deprecation of our legacy Agent Experience products (Callbar and Legacy Agent Tabs) on September 1, 2023.
Agents will still be able to access the Main area and use Legacy Agent Tabs (Calls, Contacts, and Voicemails). This change will simply change the default behavior upon login, so that instead of landing in the Main Area, upon logging in agents will see Workspace.
Why are we doing this?
We have planned a phased End of Life for our legacy Agent products to help you plan accordingly and ensure there are no interruptions to your day-to-day operations.
With the recent End of Support for Talkdesk legacy products, and the general availability of Talkdesk Agent Workspace, we are in the process of upgrading all customers to the new and improved agent experience. Enabling the default login on Workspace, instead of in the Main area, is a step in that direction.
Please keep in mind the following End of Life date for Callbar and Legacy Agent Tabs:
- End of Life: September 1, 2023
When will my account be impacted?
From March 2023 until July 2023 we will be focusing first on those customers which have already adopted Talkdesk Conversations, thus enabling Agents to access the full unified Workspace experience.
Beginning August 1, we will begin the process of enabling this login setting for all remaining accounts.
What action is required?
This will be an automatic process, so no action is required from your side. Until September 14, you will continue to be able to change the “Login on Talkdesk Workspace” setting, found in the Admin > Preferences page.
