Product Announcement: Talkdesk Digital Engagement - SMS Billing Update

Beginning on March 1st, 2023, Talkdesk will begin billing customers for SMS usage via the Digital Engagement SMS channel.

 

Why is this change being made?

Talkdesk customers have been using the SMS channel within our Digital Engagement offering without being charged for usage. 

 

What is the impact of this change?

Beginning on March 1st, 2023, the SMS rates found on standard Talkdesk rate cards will apply to and be included on invoices for all inbound and outbound SMS traffic through the Talkdesk Digital Engagement product. Usage rates will only be charged for traffic occurring from March 1st, 2023, onward, and you will not be charged for historical SMS usage via Digital Engagement.

Note: The SMS price defined in our rate card is for each SMS segment. One SMS segment has a maximum of 160 characters.

 

What action is required?

There’s no action required. All applicable customer invoices after March 1, 2023, will include a line item for “Contact Center Usage”.
