In order to install and configure Talkdesk Callbar App and integrate it with your Desk account, follow these steps (Note: you must have admin permissions and a Desk.com Pro or Business Plus plan account):
Installing and configuring the Callbar App for Desk
If you have not yet done so, install the Talkdesk Callbar App application from the link that was sent to you via email, and make sure your agents do the same by following our Installing Callbar App on Windows or our Installing Callbar App on Mac instructions.
Follow these steps to install and configure Talkdesk Callbar App with Desk:
- Go to Admin  and then click the Settings icon .
- Switch the Phone Integrations button to On .
- Select the ‘Channels’ tab 
- Next to ‘Phone’ , change the ‘Phone Calls Enabled’ option to "On"  and Update your changes.
- Click the Phone 'Integrations' option .
- Delete the Talkdesk Callbar integration .
- Press the ‘Add Integration’ button  and add a new integration with the following parameters:
- Name: Talkdesk Callbar App
- URL: https://cti-client.talkdeskapp.com?integration=desk
- Height: 250 (it will resize automatically)
- Width: 200 (it will resize automatically)
- Select the agents who will be using the Callbar App  and press Add Integration.
Logging in to the Callbar App CTI
To start using Callbar App with Desk all agents will need to log in to the new CTI prompt displayed inside their Desk accounts.
To do this follow these steps:
- Type in your Talkdesk account domain name  (this is usually your company name) and press Next.
- Press the Login button.
A window will pop up asking you to type in your Talkdesk email address and password:
- Enter your Talkdesk account details and press the Login button.
Note: Make sure to follow these Client Integration Screen Pop instructions to assure no other integration is selected to be used by your agents as default with Callbar.
Also note that, if you are using Chrome browser, in order to use Talkdesk's Click-to-Call extension with Callbar App you must follow these Click to Call extension with Callbar App instructions.
Now, when a call is accepted in Callbar, Desk.com can automatically generate a new case where you can start adding your notes:
Also, while working in Desk you can launch the Callbar and initiate a call to one of your contacts who has a phone number associated, by simply clicking the phone number on that contact's profile page.
Clicking on a contact's integration badge in the Callbar will also automatically open the associated contact in Desk.
